Instructions for Mounting Accu-Fork

  1. Remove Accu-Fork from package.
  2. Decide where you want to mount it (Left, Right, or Center).
  3. Hook bottom of housing to the bottom of the carriage and push the top up flush against carriage.
  4. Using the correct allen wrench(3/16), tighten the top two bolts down against the groove on the back side of the carriage lip. Note: Be sure the unit is straight vertically.
  5. Remove battery pack from package and insert into housing with the plug in the upright position.
  6. Plug the battery pack in using the plug on the battery pack and the plug hanging inside the housing.
  7. Wrap the velcro cover around the opening in the housing and attach to the other side.
  8. Lift the forks. The laser should come on when movement occurs and go out 30 seconds after movement stops. Note: If the laser comes on and will not go out, or will not come on without a hard jolt to the unit, the sensitivity needs to be adjusted. See:"Sensitivity Adjustment" below.
  9. Lay something flat across the tips of the forks for adjusting laser height. The Accu-Fork box works good.
  10. The laser light should be shooting just under the edge of the box thus being in-line with the tips of the forks.
  11. In order to align the laser, take the correct allen wrench(5/64) and screw the front "set screw" on the bottom of the unit directly under the laser in or out, depending on which way the beam needs to go until proper alignment is achieved.

Sensitivity Adjustment

  1. The sensitivity of the unit is preset at the factory and if any adjusting is nessessary due to possible shipping problems, VERY LITTLE turning shoud be required in either direction.
  2. If the laser comes on and stays on, take the appropriate allen wrench(.035) and insert into the smooth hole in the bottom of the unit (See figure 1 below) and slowly turn the "set screw" clockwise 1/8 turn at a time, pausing for 45 seconds between each turn, or until the laser goes out. The sensitivity should now be set.
  3. If the laser will not come on without a hard jolt to the unit, take the appropriate allen wrench(.035) and insert it into the smooth hole in the bottom of the unit (See figure 1 below) and slowly turn the "set screw" counter-clockwise until the laser shuts off. If it does not shut repeat this step in 1/16 turn increments until it does. The sensitivity should now be set.

Instructions for Charging the Accu-Fork Battery Pack

  1. Remove battery cover from the Accu-Fork housing.
  2. Unplug battery and remove it from the unit.
  3. Connect battery to appropriate plug on the charging unit.
  4. Connect the plug from transformer to the other plug on the charging unit.
  5. Plug transformer into an 110VAC outlet.
  6. The LED should start blinking. After a brief period, the LED will remain solid.
  7. Charge time is approximately 8 hours.
  8. When LED on the charging unit goes out, the charging cycle is complete.
  9. Disconnect the transformer from the outlet.
  10. Disconnect the battery from the charging unit.
  11. Replace battery in the Accu-Fork housing.
  12. Reconnect battery.

Note: Charging of the battery pack should be done in a cool, dry area with adequate ventilation. This helps increase the life of the batteries.
